A local channel may disappear from your DirecTV lineup because the channel owner is asking for an unreasonable amount of money from the satellite carrier to renew the carriage contract. When such a blackout happens, DirecTV recommends you to not panic and do the following:.

Sure Fox has to be trying to force them to pay a bunch for these channels but DTV hasn't been hurting financially. They continue to post profits and their monthly revenue per user keeps going up. Back in the end of '09 they dropped Versus and picked it back up 6 months later. They dropped G4 in '10 and there were rumors of it coming back this year but nope.

It causes DirecTV's customer base to start ringing the phones. It's a complete DB, gangster, thug, good ol' fashioned blackmailing. They'll come to an agreement. I can't wait to see Murdoch in hell, I'm gonna punch him in the throat.

He's just a DB. On October 24, at , Hasbeen said Can't wait until i can purchase subscriptions for just the channels i watch. To be honest DirecTV could probably drop all but 10 channels and it wouldn't make a difference.
