Once the keyboard has been added, a new icon will show up when you send an imessage. It is the icon symbol for the international keyboard and it will be located to the left of your space bar. It allows you to toggle between your keyboards.

There are hundreds of emoticons to choose from. But know that only iMessage users those with at least ios5 are able to see them. So anyone that you text and the text box is in blue can see them!

They do not have to have the keyboard turned on to see them. But beware, they will want them as soon as they see them!!! Have fun!!!

I think there is a free version of it. The App page includes instructions on how to set it up after installing the App, but if you need help I'm sure I could tell you on here.

With iOS 5, it is not necessary to download any external App for getting emoticons in your messages. There is in-built Emoji keyboard in iOS 5 and above.

Now go to messaging and after typing the text you want, you can press the spherical button after space bar which has plenty of lines through it. There is also another messenger App for iPhone called WhatsApp. You can use the emoticons present in this application for your text messaging. After that, Emoji will be listed in International Keyboards along with English or whatever default keyboard your iPhone 4S is set.

To start using the emoticons, just touch the Globe key in the virtual keyboard. You get use Emoji sets like smileys, flowers and animals, travel symbols, flags, and more. To go back to your standard default keyboard you just have to touch the Globe key again. Since the iPhone 4S emoticons are attached to your virtual keyboard, you can use it in any application that requires typing.
