From everything I have read from Meguiars, Mike Phillips, etc , the second coat is to ensure uniformity and fill in any gaps missed on the first coat more than anything else. The 2nd coat doesn't necessarily make the coating thicker or make it last longer. Or at least that has never been proven. Thanks: 0.

Oh well its off to get some 26! NXT x1 with 26 looks a lot deeper and darker, but its not as reflective as Gold Class. Do I really need to use two layers of NXT? A carnauba over NXT makes sense. Attempting to layer NXT over itself is probably going to largely be a wasted effort.
